Well, I would definitely get rid of the objective and the references section as it seems unnecessary.
I will try to think of more...
1Tips:
1. Objective: Remove entry-level. It's unnecessary and you might be able to get away with mid-level depending on how skilled you are at programming. Instead of saying, 'seeking a full-time position...yada yada', say, 'to gain employment at [company x] as a [job position]'. Catering your resume to the company you are applying for will more likely put you through the door to get an interview.
2. Education: Fine as is.
3. Qualifications: [This would include the hardware, software, and languages you use as well as your soft skills]. Soft skills could include other skills like fluency in another foreign language, detail-orientation, adaptability, etc. It should also be put above your work experience near the top as it encompasses all your skills in an easy glance. Unless they have an HR rep who specializes in hiring techies, think about the general HR rep who is looking for those keywords that a senior programmer or engineer has specifically asked them to look for. Everything technical you describe in your work experience might as well be jibberish to a general HR person. They want to see those keyword skills first and foremost and then the jibberish is given to the senior programmer or engineer to decipher.
4. Work Experience: I think this section could use better organization. As it stands now, it looks like your resume could fill onto a second page. This may not be a good thing since HR departments typically and hastily read through a whole lot of resumes. It's not necessary to enter to a new line for every task you performed at your job positions. Also when you have established enough work experience in your field, it will do you some good to remove irrelevant positions such as 'lifeguard' from your resume. When your resume gets longer you also have the option to list your full resume on your online portfolio while distributing your concise one-paged resume. Just make sure to include in your cover letter that samples of your work and full resume can be found at [URL].
Hope that helps.
